Russian River Brewery is the hangout spot, serving a selection of craft beers and pub food that will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about pizza.


Community Events and Family-Friendly Venues

Santa Rosa holds its own Ironman competition right in the heart of wine country. You can choose to participate in this triathlon or line up along the course to cheer on your favorite athletes. Either way, there’s nothing more motivational than watching someone troop through one of the most grueling athletic events known around the world.

If you’re a fan of nature and the outdoors, then Trione-Annadel State Park is for you. There are trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Come by in April or May to see the magnificent display of wildflowers in bloom. It’s definitely a sight to see, not to mention a cute Instagram moment!

Look for the many local events in Santa Rosa Square, also known as Old Courthouse Square. Outside dining is plentiful, perfect for enjoying the nice crisp air. Check out the variety of specialty boutiques and stores for an exceptional shopping experience.


Schools

Santa Rosa County District oversees the K–12 schools in the area. Sonoma State University, a liberal arts school, sits on a beautiful 269-acre campus and is just a drive away from Santa Rosa.
